Your last chance to join our school team at Children's Cancer Run

You have less than a week to register to join the Kings Priory School team at this year’s Children’s Cancer Run.

This year's Children’s Cancer Run will be held at Newcastle Racecourse, Gosforth on Sunday 21 May 2017.

The Children’s Cancer Run is a family fun run with one, three and five mile courses. The event is sponsored by Greggs and raises funds for North of England Children’s Cancer Research, funding research into cures and treatments for childhood cancer.

Like previous years, we are very excited to be supporting this event and would like to invite you to join us for what promises to be a fun filled family day out.

All participants receive a t-shirt, medal and Gregg’s picnic on the day. Local station Metro Radio will also be in attendance to entertain everyone with music and competitions.

New for 2017

  • Improved park and ride service operated by transport partners Stagecoach
  • Additional activities and entertainment at the Event Village
  • A personalised online fundraising page created for all runners registering here

General online entries continue until continue Tuesday 16 May 2017 but individuals will be responsible for their own running packs as these will be sent direct to your home.

Please note that entries after this date, or just turning up to enter on the day of the event, will incur an extra charge.

To register, simply go to and during registration make sure you choose the ‘RUN FOR YOUR SCHOOL’ then select Kings Priory School. You will then be entered along with all other runners from our school for the event.

Please note that the three and five mile courses are suitable for children Over 7. All children must be accompanied by an adult (parents can accompany their children on the Mini Mile without registering but please register if you would like to receive a t-shirt, medal and picnic).

We would encourage you to do what you can in order to raise sponsorship as all of the funds raised will be used to fund the research team at Newcastle who are working to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. You can raise sponsorship via paper sponsor form (which is available from school) or via our school fundraising page.

Visit the Children's Cancer Run website for all of the essential on the day information you should need including top tips on public transport links, car parking and Frequently Asked Questions.
