Pupils planting at Freeman Hospital

This week some of our green fingered Year 8 prefects were invited by Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care to take part in a planting event outside the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital.

The school had been involved in a similar event last year and we were honoured to have been asked back again alongside other local schools.

The pupils were given a selection of plants and a key to follow to plant our named box. They then met some volunteers and users of the charity and found out more about the big difference that the charity is making to people with cancer.

The prefects were once again a real credit to themselves and superb ambassadors for Kings Priory School.

Thank you to Miss Smith for organising this event and to Mr Dickson and Mr McLeod for escorting the pupils there.

We are delighted to have formed this relationship with Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care and hope it continues to flourish in the future.
