GREASE - This Is What Memories Are Made Of

“Absolutely amazing”
“Inspiring”  “Incredible”
“Scores of children having the time of their lives”

The above is just a tiny handful of the comments that have been made by the audiences who came to enjoy our Whole School Show – GREASE, last week.

With over 140 pupils involved from Year 5 to 13, support from the PTA, a large team of staff and audiences from Reception upwards, this really was a community event that captured the essence of our wonderful school.

It was an uplifting and optimistic celebration of the many huge talents of all of our pupils, also proudly demonstrating why music is our school specialism.

The main cast performed with confidence, vulnerability, quirky humour and sensitivity reflecting the different personalities of the characters and were brilliantly and energetically supported by the huge chorus who danced and sang their way throughout the performance in perfect harmony.

The music was slick and punchy thanks to the band which was made up of local musicians and pupils, adding an authenticity to the 1950’s sound and a professionalism to the whole show.

Thank you to the cast, the chorus, the back stage team, the hair and make-up crew and of course to all the audience members who helped make this a show to remember for many, many years to come.

As a team we are privileged to work with such dedicated and talented pupils: we genuinely feel we are the luckiest teachers in the country - thank you!
