Senior School

The Senior School of Kings Priory School welcomes pupils from Years 9 to 11 and also includes the Sixth Form that has its own section on this website.

Our holistic approach and Christian ethos ensure that all of our pupils are truly valued and consequently enjoy their learning. The Senior School is warm and friendly where everyone is well-known and relationships between pupils and staff are very positive. We are justifiably proud of all our pupils’ achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

Kings Priory School provides a caring pastoral environment in which each and every pupil is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We have outstanding GCSE results, as well as exceptionally high levels of personal achievement throughout the school. GCSE courses begin in Year 9 at KPS and pupils are well-prepared to embark upon that pathway. They are able to choose four subjects in addition to the core from a broad choice of subjects with the vast majority following an EBacc curriculum, which includes a language and a humanity. Most of our Year 11 pupils stay at KPS for their Sixth Form studies.

We provide much more than academic opportunities and believe strongly in a well-rounded education, where pupils can flourish in a number of other areas including music, sport and drama. These interests are nurtured at KPS with a plethora of chances to be involved in music from open-mic nights to the whole school musical. Senior School year groups have dedicated Games afternoons for sport and the school maintains an extensive fixture-list in many sports from hockey to table-tennis. Our pupils’ commitment to so many activities in school is a great source of pride for us at KPS.

If you interested in joining us in our respectful, tolerant and friendly school, then most welcome to come and visit us and look forward to seeing you if this sounds like the place for you.
