We have carefully created a bespoke aspirational curriculum, where children are taught explicit knowledge and skills in a clear progression, in readiness for the national Curriculum. Play and exploration is fundamental within our provision. Children are encouraged to be independent and leaders in their learning as they navigate the environment and learn by first-hand experiences; by actively ‘doing’ as well as through scaffolding and modelling through high quality adult interactions.

At Kings Priory, we plan learning experiences to ensure all children’s needs are met and scaffolded to enable progress and success irrespective of individual starting points. We support our children to deepen their understanding by playing, talking, observing, planning, questioning, experimenting, testing, repeating, reflecting and responding to adults and to each other. Each child continues to be supported and challenged through a lively and motivating curriculum, which caters for each child’s individual needs and abilities.
