Welfare

At Kings Priory School, we believe that a supportive and inclusive environment is the bedrock of academic excellence and personal growth. As an all-through family school, we are committed to nurturing the individual talents of every pupil, ensuring our ambitious curriculum is accessible and aspirational for all. Our pupil support framework is built upon our core values of Respect, Tolerance, and Friendship, fostering a community where every child feels secure, valued, and empowered to flourish.

A Holistic Approach to Well-being

We recognise that young people face various barriers to education, and our pastoral care is designed to meet these challenges head-on. Our support services include:

  • Mental Health & Emotional Support: We collaborate with the Connect Mental Health Support Team to provide early interventions for anxiety and self-esteem. Additionally, our dedicated full-time School Counsellor and Pastoral Support team are available across all sites to offer tailored guidance.
  • SEND & Inclusion: Our teaching is inherently inclusive and needs-based. We work in close partnership with families to adapt our provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that "no two children are treated the same" because every child’s journey is unique.
  • The Kings Priory School Educational Trust: We are committed to removing financial barriers to education. Through our trust, families can apply for support with essential costs such as educational trips, technology, uniforms, and music lessons.
  • Continuity of Care: From our Out of School Club, which provides a "home from home" environment for younger pupils, to our Sixth Form guidance, we ensure a seamless thread of support that follows every student throughout their time at the Academy.

By integrating high-quality teaching with robust emotional and practical support, Kings Priory School ensures that every pupil has the tools they need to achieve their full potential and navigate the modern world with resilience and confidence.
