EYFS Admissions
How to Apply
Applications must be made through the North Tyneside Council common application form, available on the Council’s website. There is no separate application form for Kings Priory School.
Oversubscription Criteria
If we receive more applications than available places, we prioritise admissions in the following order after pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who have named the school are admitted:
1. Looked After and Previously Looked After Children: Including those who appear to have been in state care outside of England.
2. Siblings: Children who have a full, step, half, adopted, or fostered brother or sister at the school at the time of application.
3. Children of Staff: Where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years, or is recruited to fill a vacant position with a demonstrable skill shortage.
4. Proximity to School (Distance): Children living closest to the school (Percy Park site), measured by a straight line. Please note Kings Priory School does not have a catchment area.
Note: Distance is used as a tiebreaker within each criterion. If a further tiebreaker is needed, independent random allocation will be used.
