The Commons was packed with MPs and we also heard responses from Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch and Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey. Our classroom learning was certainly brought to life!

On Tuesday, our Year 13 Politics students visited Westminster for a tour of Parliament and the Supreme Court. Amazingly, we witnessed the Prime Minister give a statement to the Commons on his visit to Egypt earlier this week following Israel-Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Students went on to ask Lord Elliott a wide range of questions about the Good Friday Agreement, House of Lords reform and the issues caused by Brexit in Northern Ireland.

Our A-Level Politics students participated in a ‘Learn with the Lords’ online session with Lord Tom Elliott of Ballinamallard. This was a great opportunity for the students to learn about the role of Peers and the House of Lords in our democratic system.
